Employment Opportunities

Social workers (both entry-level and experienced) and registered nurses are the most frequently hired positions at The Information Center, Inc. Please check below for our current openings.  Counselor for Substance Abuse Hotline

GENERAL SUMMARY

Position is contractual, one to two weekday evenings per week (5pm-9pm) at Taylor office, with weekend shifts available as well working from home.   

The Following credentials are required:

  •  Possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, nursing or related human service degree.
  • Hold a current CADC-M issued by the Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals.
  • Experience screening substance abuse clients for treatment and experience using the Carenet system.

Student Internships

Are you looking for an opportunity to gain some real experience doing professional work, while adding new skills and accomplishments to your resume?

Would you like to work at an exciting and dynamic agency, where you are valued and appreciated?

Internships at The Information Center are unpaid but highly valuable work experiences that will allow you to put together a much more competitive resume for your next job. Some examples of internship roles include: data analysis, assisting with preparations for fundraising events, development of reports and proposals, researching community resources, or assisting the technology specialist.

We prefer candidates who can offer a work schedule of at least 15 hours per week, for approximately 1 semester.
