Mending the Safety Net

Mending the Safety Net 2011 was a big success! Over 50 vendors exhibited this year and each table was loaded down with information and goodies for all who attended! Wayne County Community College District Downriver Campus was the location for this annual networking event. The Healthy Downriver Community Team, a local community collaborative initiative, once again presented an exciting resource sharing event designed to provide up-to-date information about the ever-changing resources available to our community. Each year, Mending the Safety Net provides resources for professionals making referrals and assisting children and families who need help in the Southern Wayne County area.
 

This year the Wayne County Department of Public Health administered free flu shots and DTE Energy supplied refreshments. As we move forward, to assist those in need, our hope is that our collaborative efforts will continue to benefit Southern Wayne County and beyond!
