West Grange Women's Health Expo 2011
National Women's Health Week was celebrated at West Grange Pharmacy in Trenton, Saturday, May 14th from10 am - 4 pm. It was a week-long event which included many downriver health partners;Downriver Family YMCA, Southgate,Oakwood Hospital-Karen Colina Wilson Breast Care Center, Castleman Eye Center, Southgate Surgery Center, Henry Ford-Wyandotte Josephine Ford Cancer Center and The Guidance Center.
The Information Center hosted a booth and provided a speaker for the event. Topics addressed included: Vision Care, Diet Nutrition, Breast Health, Heart Health, Mental Health, Specialized Surgery and Care giving.
Jill Caruso, Ms. Wheelchair Michigan 1987 spoke about overcoming obstacles. Trenton Fire brought their new ladder truck to entertain
the kids and worked along side West Grange promoting the "Yellow Jug Campaign." (collection of unused and expired drugs)
